Polychrome Pass, Denali Park Road, Alaska

Aptly named, Polychrome Pass shows off with brilliant colours in the afternoon sun. A steep and narrow one-lane road clings to its shoulder, and the shuttle busses on the Denali Park Road navigate it with extreme caution. On the next day, an early snow forces the shuttles to chain up and turn around. An unexpected early end to the season.
